Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation Live Event: Precision Medicine and Big Data in Multiple Myeloma

Live Meetings

You are invited to attend an educational dinner program entitled Precision Medicine and Big Data in Multiple Myeloma. In this continuing education activity, frequently asked questions gathered from the community will be addressed to myeloma experts. Their specific answers will then be integrated with key data and current debates regarding diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with Multiple Myeloma.

An “Ask the Experts” approach will be taken in order to provide answers to the most frequently asked questions!

Target Audience
This educational activity will target hematologists and oncologists, oncology nurses, advance practice nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and hematology/oncology pharmacists who need to be kept apprised of the rapidly changing developments in the personalized care of patients with MM.

Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Apply and interpret ISS, cytogenetic testing, and gene expression profiles to stratify myeloma patients by risk and prognosis
  • Outline an individualized treatment plan to achieve the desired response while balancing the risk for toxicities in high-risk and standard-risk myeloma patients
  • Evaluate clinical data regarding the use of new agents in patients who acquire resistance to or relapse from their initial therapy
  • Describe the efforts being made to identify genetic and molecular biomarkers in multiple myeloma that will identify new biologic targets and facilitate individualized treatment
