Moffitt Cancer Center study findings show risk is greater among unmarried men and men who smoke

In an investigation of oral mouthwash samples collected from HPV Infection in Men (HIM) Study participants, Moffitt Cancer Center researchers, along with researchers from the National Cancer Institute, Mexico, and Brazil, determined that the risk of oral HPV, a cancer-related infection, is greater among unmarried men and men who smoke.

Study results were published in The Lancet.
