US Oncologists Report Combination of Career Satisfaction and Burnout

Recent study surveyed 3000 US oncologists

According to a study led by Mayo Clinic, 83% of 3000 US oncologists surveyed experience career satisfaction; however, 45% of the oncologists suffer at least 1 symptom of burnout (including emotional exhaustion and depersonalization), as measured by the Maslach Burnout Inventory.

The research was presented at the 49th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
