For the first time, an adjuvant treatment has led to a survival benefit in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Data from the multicenter phase 3 KEYNOTE-564 study demonstrate that adjuvant pembrolizumab led to a 38% lower risk of death compared with placebo among patients with ccRCC who had a high risk of recurrence after surgery.
