Practice. Progress. Perspective.

As 2025 draws to a close, many of us find ourselves taking stock not only of what we’ve accomplished, but also of how our experiences have shaped who we are as oncology nurses.

This month’s issue invites that spirit of reflection, offering perspectives that remind us why this work continues to matter so deeply.

In a poignant essay, a nurse revisits a patient encounter that left an enduring imprint—a reminder that every moment of connection, every conversation, carries lasting impact.

Another contributor looks ahead, exploring how we can future-proof pediatric oncology by integrating survivorship care into evolving treatment regimens. It’s an inspiring vision of how innovation and compassion can move forward together.

And because reflection isn’t only personal but practical, we close the issue with a timely piece encouraging nurses to examine their financial wellness. As we prepare for the year ahead, it’s an opportunity to think about the investments—professional and personal—that sustain us beyond the bedside.

As always, I’m grateful for the nurses who share their stories, their insights, and their dedication with our readers. Here’s to honoring the lessons of 2025 and carrying them with intention into a new year of learning, leading, and caring.
