According to the National Cancer Institute, the number of cancer survivors in the United States increased to 11.7 million in 2007—this compares to 3 million cancer survivors in 1971 and 9.8 million in 2001. Read More ›

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The September 30, 2013, presidential proclamation acknowledging this points out that “This disease touches every corner of the United States—in 2013 alone, more than 230,000 women and over 2,000 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and tens of thousands will die from it.” Read More ›
